Patrick is an independent consultant to the firm who provides expert advice on the tax aspects of the transactions and corporate structuring that we perform for our clients.
Patrick’s areas of practice include:
- Advising on business structures, including international structures
- Capital Gains Tax and stamp duty issues arising on business restructuring
- Taxation of trusts
- Tax implications of major projects
- Employee Share Plans, for both public and private companies
- Executive option plans
- Tax effective investments, including vineyards, timber plantations and films
- Property development – joint ventures; subdivisions; unit developments
- Investment trusts – property trusts (listed and unlisted) and equity trusts
- Superannuation – superannuation fund investments
- Employment obligations – PAYG; payroll tax; superannuation guarantee charge
- WorkCover insurance
- Fringe Benefits Tax
Patrick has practised in taxation law since his admission as a barrister and solicitor in 1987. He holds a Master of Laws, a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts.
