Senior Associate
Jeremy conducts a broad corporate/commercial practice, which includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, fundraising, intellectual property protection, Corporations Act and public company compliance (including Listing Rules) and franchising. He has particular knowledge and expertise in the IT and telecommunications industries.
Jeremy’s experiences before joining B2B in 2007 included an internship in one of the largest telecommunications companies in Hong Kong, in-house counsel for a start-up IT/venture capital company and as a lawyer in the corporate/M&A group of a large Australian law firm.
Examples of Jeremy’s specific experience and expertise includes:
- A regulated takeover of a listed agribusiness company;
- Acting for a major automotive component supplier in various acquisitions of component manufacturing businesses;
- Acting for a large national educational and vocational training provider in an acquisition of a majority interest in by an international private equity firm;
- Negotiating and settling partnership, shareholder and joint venture disputes and associated restructuring;
- Fundraising for small and mid-cap companies and managed investment schemes;
- Restructuring internal and external licensing arrangements for technology companies for asset and intellectual property protection;
- Providing strategic compliance advice to directors, officers and senior management in respect of Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules and AFSL regulation compliance.
Jeremy has holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts degree from Monash University and was admitted to practice in 2003.
