Given generational change and the change in the traditional family structure which may now include de facto or same sex relationships or step children, our clients have had the need for specifically tailored succession plans. These include Wills and Testamentary Trust, to help assist in providing for changing dynamics of a family structure and ensuring that the Testators wishes are implemented for the benefit of their beneficiaries.
Corporate structuring and advice
We advise businesses, both "start ups" and existing operations, in respect of the appropriate asset protection, corporate and tax structures and regimes (including the ramifications of international tax treaties). We also advise on pre and post insolvency structuring.
We have advised:
- directors in relation to the spilling of a Board at an AGM of a medium sized public company; and
- an AFL club in relation to all aspects of their commercial arrangements, including sponsorship arrangements with their major sponsors and ground sponsors and with the AFL in relation to internet and web site agreements, ground redevelopment and licensing agreements.
